Great campground! Family friendly! There was a lot of fun activities for the kids to do there. We really enjoyed our stay here and will be coming back!! The owner is very involved and goes around to greet all the guests!!
Camped here for my one year anniversary this year. We had such a great time. The trails around the two lakes were beautiful. Close to Michigan's Adventure. PLUS they had vegan hot dogs in their camp store, whaaaaat?! The prices were reasonable and the staff was great.
4.5 Stars - This was a wonderful campground. I usually only stay at state or national park campgrounds as I am a little weary of privately owned campgrounds. We tent camped here on our annual family trip. We had 4 families with kids between 2 and 14 years old. This was perfect for us. I am guessing the bad reviews are from people that you would not want at a family campground when your kids are running around. The bathrooms were clean and the whole facility was kept up nicely. I am taking the half star, because the far shower house did not have hot water and I had a very chilly shower one of the days. Also, the highway is close so you can hear cars, but you can't see them and all of the amenities and activities make up for it. Overall, I would definitely stay again and would recommend this to anyone with a family looking for a nice camping spot. If you are looking for a place to get wild and have a huge party, this campground is not for you.
My kids love this place! Jumping pillow and a great lake with a sandbar and water slides provides endless amounts of fun. They wanted to hurry back from Lake Michigan to have time to swim at camp before dark! We've been going here for the past 3 summers and have had no problems whatsoever. Truly a family-friendly/oriented campground.
Had a site on the lake. It was beautiful! The kids loved being on the lake and all of the free amenities the park offered...zip line, air pillow, inflatables in the lake and hay ride. The option to rent bikes and kayaks/canoes/paddle boards was great. Bring a fishing pool, great fishing spot!
I gave a 4 as opposed to a 5 because the bathrooms need more attention (i.e. Clean twice a day perhaps). We also had an issue with extremely loud neighbors. It would be great if the park took a harder stance on this. My family had a very difficult time sleeping.
