So I drive to that 2nd hotel, and when I arrive, the hotel manager there tells me that the club never called them to reserve the room! So once again, I'm driving back to Club Envy to find the manager (because they're still not returning my phone calls.) This time I insist that they pay me back for the hotel room at the 2nd place, like they assured me.
This club had advertised a package deal at the local Holiday Inn – 2 tickets and a one night hotel stay, for what they listed as their corporate rate. I purchased it and they charged my card. So when I arrived at the hotel the same day, the hotel manager said they had nothing booked under my name. I called and called Club Envy, and never got a return phone call. I had to go to the club in person and wait for a club manager. I was then told that because the hotel changed their own corporate rate, that they decided not to honor their agreement with me. (Basically, they assumed the hotel rate would always stay the same with them, even during the busy summer months.) So instead, they said they booked me at a cheaper-quality hotel over 3 miles away.
Last night I bought a couple of drinks at the bar and left my card open for a tab. At the end of the night when I checked out my card they informed me that they had run out of receipt paper and they could not except my card. I did not have cash. They offered that I use the ATM to withdrawal the money that I owed. The problem is that the ATM charged a $3 fee. When I requested that they pay the fee (since it was not my fault they did not have receipt paper and they accepted my card for the tab), the OWNER got right in my face proceeding to, in a very confrontational way, SCREAM at me while spitting his words, delivering the message that they did not intend to pay for my ATM. I have heard many bad things about this bar in the past, this was just a rotten cherry on top of an already tarnished reputation.
They didn't follow through on a hotel package deal they advertised for one of their concert events and took my money for, causing me a huge amount of stress and going back and forth between 2 hotels, including one that was much further away than their location.
Didn't want to believe this place would be as bad as the reviews. It was as bad and worse. Can't believe how bad these people were. They kicked out my african american roommate for "having a bad attitude". He did nothing wrong. He said something completely respectfully and the old nazi woman decided he should go. We're all college educated. The bouncers are racist and our whole group left. Put this place out of business. Don't go!
These guys clearly aren't professional about honoring their customer arrangements. Not only did they not check with the Holiday Inn about any changes to the room rate (which is something you should always do before you advertise a hotel package on your website), but they weren't willing to make up for the difference. You should not trust any club that wants to pass on their mistakes to someone else.
I love, love, love this place. I always have fun. its about time Muskegon had a good dance club. loved riding the bull. Love the hula hoops,love going to concerts. Its great
DO NOT GO and read all of the other reviews.. A place like this shouldn't stay in business. Awful.
We were in town for a wedding and needed to unwind after a long day of driving. This place had good drink specials, great music, (they took requests) and a mechanical bull. Needless to say we all had a blast.
