You could tell they went two significant lengths to make this bathroom handicap accessible and it was. But the shower seat left me sitting at the wrong angle and in pain, due to the improper installation and the poor conditioner of the seat.
After helping us get accommodated last minute, the lady at the front desk was so polite and helped us get a room. The room was comfortable, sheets appeared to be clean, and the bathroom was the best bathroom I've ever been in, in terms of hotels.
Room #136 needs some work to make it safe for handicap individuals. A properly installed seat, with adjustable height would probably do the trick.
Husband and I were in Muskegon to visit family over the weekend. We have stayed at Hampton Inn Muskegon many times. They have always been wonderful. We arrived this time early for check in. Hampton had no problem checking us in early. Room was ready, clean. Each time we passed the front desk the always greeted us with a warm hello. On check out morning we found the bill already under our door. We highly recommend staying at Hampton Inn Muskegon.

I love Hampton Inn, and I will almost always stay at a Hampton Inn or other Hilton hotel when I travel. I recently traveled to this location over Labor Day weekend. A few days later, I realized I had left my favorite pair of jeans in my hotel room. When I called the hotel, they had my jeans marked with which room they have been found in. They offered to mail them to me before I even had to ask. My jeans arrived in the mail about a week later, and I could not be happier. Thanks Muskegon Hampton Inn for your superb customer service!
One of the amenities I require the most is a roll-in shower with a seat, as I am confined to a wheelchair. The bathroom was very nice looking and had many accommodations for a wheelchair-bound person, but unfortunately the seat in the shower was installed backwards, set too high so the front edge of the seat was digging into the back side of my legs, and the seat itself had a crack in the surface which cause quite a bit of pain trying to take a shower. It wasn't a safe situation for me, so I washed up and got out of the shower as quickly as possible.
I needed a place to stay for the night and for $99, this place was a great deal.
