LOVE this beach! Super clean, soft sand, clean, clear water and lots of room for visitors to spread out and not feel crowded, even on weekends. Parking is convenient as are the boardwalks. These are so helpful in dragging gear down the beach, nearer to the water. There's a restroom area with rinsing showers and a snack stand. This is the only one on the beach, so keep in mind if you set up far away. There is also a restaurant on the north end of the beach with live music on weekends. The cute beach houses, the scenic view down the coastline and the pier with a lighthouse at the end really add to the quintessential beach town feel. Oh, and do not miss the sunset!

Awesome spot to take in all that Lake Michigan has to offer. My only qualm is that not everyone on the beach should be dog owners, and those particular "owners" can make certain beach trips more complicated than necessary. They let their dogs who obviously shouldn't be off leash run wild. Luckily I myself am a dog guy so I don't mind the attention, but one of my dogs doesn't appreciate strange dogs running up and getting in her face, so it causes an unnecessary dangerous situation. Like I said, not really a problem with the beach itself, just some of the people that frequent it.

One of the most beautiful beaches in western Michigan. Everything from the small dunes in the sand to the long pier that leads out to the historic lighthouse is clean and captivating. Even the small restaurant on the beach adds to the experience and the aesthetics of the entire scene. This is easily a 5 star beach and my favorite part of the entire city of Muskegon.

With some of the cleanest beaches in the United States it's easy top see why this place is a local favorite. They have plenty of food and vending options including a stand for board walk style foods such as hotdogs, French fries, chili dogs and of course a great selection of ice cold drinks to cool you down. There is also a nice restaurant right near the pier that has outdoor seating in beached boats. Plenty of space, good food and nice clean water. What more could you ask for? The parking can fill up even though there are lots scattered all along the lake side.

Probably one of my favorite West Michigan beaches. It’s beautiful clean and an all-around beautiful place. I have the sticker on my car to get into any of the state parks but this one is free and that’s also awesome.
